North West law firm Harrison Drury is in the running to be named as one the best in the UK for probate law as part of a leading industry awards event.
The firm has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Probate Law Firm - North England’ category in the annual UK Probate Research Awards, or ‘The Probies’ as they have become known.
Harrison Drury’s probate services are delivered by the firm’s private client team, which also deals with a wide range of other matters including wills, inheritance tax advice and estate administration, including probate disputes.
Clare Fleming, head of Harrison Drury’s private client team, said: “This is the fourth year of the UK Probate Research Awards and the event is now firmly established in the legal awards calendar.
“What the awards demonstrate is that probate law is a highly specialised area, particularly when it comes to dealing with complex and taxable estates.
“Probate solicitors need to be technically brilliant whilst being able to communicate with empathy and compassion at what can be an enormously difficult time for clients.
“I’m very proud of our whole team for the way they support our clients and we’re pleased to have those efforts recognised with our second shortlisting at the Probies in two years.”
Harrison Drury was also recognised as part of the Probies in 2021, when two solicitors in its private client team, Becci Haffner and Holly Radcliffe, were shortlisted for individual awards.
The firm will find out if it has claimed the Best Probate Law Firm North award at a special UK Probate Research Awards 2022 ceremony in London on April 28.
