Harrison Drury has promoted regulatory law specialist David Edwards to the role of director.
David heads up the firm’s healthcare sector team and specialises in defending businesses, organisations and individuals in investigations and prosecutions brought by a wide range of regulatory bodies, including the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency and local authorities.
He previously worked as a criminal lawyer, both defending and prosecuting. Now a member of the Association of Regulatory & Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL), David has represented doctors, nurses, dentists and other healthcare professionals in disciplinary proceedings brought by the General Medical Council (GMC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), General Dental Council (GDC) and the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). He has also represented clients in Medical Practitioners’ Tribunal Service (MPTS) fitness-to-practice hearings.
