Harrison Drury has appointed experienced litigator Martin Stafford to its dispute resolution team.
Martin, who holds more than 20 years of legal experience, joins the firm as a consultant solicitor.
He previously ran his own legal practice, SDM Legal, for five years and before that held various roles across a number of national law firms.
For his new role he will primarily be based in Harrison Drury’s Lancaster office and will work with all kinds of commercial organisations across the Lancashire and Cumbria region to help them resolve disputes.
He advises clients in a wide range of commercial disputes, including partnership and shareholder disputes, professional negligence and property litigation.
Sean Gibbs, partner and head of commercial litigation at Harrison Drury, said: “There aren’t many people who can match Martin’s depth and breadth of experience when it comes to helping clients overcome disputes.
“He has experience in many different areas of litigation and has worked with businesses across a diverse range of sectors, so he’s perfectly placed to help SMEs, owner managed businesses and other commercial organisations in the region.”
Martin said: “Having established and grown my own firm significantly over the last five years, I felt there was a great opportunity to work with businesses in Lancaster and the wider region by becoming part of Harrison Drury.
“Having worked with Sean Gibbs in the past and knowing the commitment Harrison Drury has to providing locally available legal expertise to its clients, it was an easy decision to make. I’m looking forward to being on the ground in Lancaster helping businesses in the region to achieve their goals."
