Happy Creative, one of Lancashire’s leading marketing companies, has announced its support of the Wooden Spoon Lancashire, the children’s charity of rugby.
Founded in 1983 by a group of rugby players who wanted to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children, the charity funds life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland.
The charity has a national footprint with the largest part of their income raised by local volunteers led by regional committees. Every pound they raise is invested in local projects supporting local children and young people who suffer from disability, disadvantage or are vulnerable.
Wooden Spoon Lancashire raises funds which are distributed to West Coast Lancashire organisations to help with IT equipment, hydrotherapy pools, playgrounds, wheelchair lifts, outdoor adventure spaces and much more, as well as donating to Blackpool Foodbank.
As part of their support, Happy Creative will be providing pro bono social media services to help the charity raise awareness locally and raise much-needed funds. This will include social media consultancy and advice, creating engaging content, and sharing posts.
Speaking about the partnership, Chief Happy, Karen Lambert, said: "It’s great to be able to support Wooden Spoon Lancashire in their mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people in our county. It’s all part of our purpose to spread happiness. We’re donating our time and skills to support the charity and help make a positive impact in our communities. We believe that Wooden Spoon Lancashire is doing incredibly important work that deserves to be celebrated and supported."
Martin Long, chairman of Wooden Spoon Lancashire, added: "We are delighted to have the support of Happy Creative in helping us raise awareness of our work and reach new audiences. We know that there are many children and young people who are facing significant challenges, and we are committed to do what we can to support them. With the help of partners like Happy Creative, we can achieve even more in our mission to transform young lives."
