Happy Creative are using their marketing skills to create positive change in their community demonstrating that their purpose extends beyond helping businesses grow.
The company is supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) actively championing Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing).
After a successful tender win in 2023 for an SPF-funded initiative, Happy Creative were appointed by Blackpool Council as their strategic marketing and branding partner.
With social value at the core of the contract, Happy chose to support Blackpool Foodbank, and through monthly donations they are helping to assist their vital work in the community.
Blackpool Foodbank plays a crucial role in supporting those facing food insecurity.
With the rising cost of living, many struggle to put food on the table. Their vision is to ensure that everyone has access to nourishing food.
Volunteers rescue surplus food from supermarkets, manufacturers, and suppliers, redistributing it to over 8,000 people through more than 80 partner organisations across the Fylde Coast.
Beyond providing food parcels, Blackpool Foodbank works to tackle the root causes of food poverty by collaborating with local organisations to offer support services.
Their mission is about more than filling empty plates - it’s about restoring dignity, offering hope, and fostering resilient communities. Anyone can help by donating food, fundraising, or volunteering.
Karen Lambert said “We are proud to be able to contribute to this Blackpool Foodbank, reinforcing our values of putting people first and making a lasting impact on our communities.
"Through our ongoing donations up to March 2025, we will have helped to provide enough food for 9,100 regular meals*, offering comfort and security to families who need it most.”
Happy Creative has been working alongside the Business Growth Team at Blackpool Council to develop and promote the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy and Blackpool Growth Business Academy.
Using their RISUS marketing for growth model, they collaborate with Blackpool Unlimited and the Academies to provide branding, marketing, and event support.
The goal is to raise visibility, increase awareness, educate the audiences and share success stories. They have developed marketing plans, created meaningful brand assets, refreshed website content, managed social media, created and shared news stories, produced video content, and organised a keynote business event in Summer 2024 featuring Paul McGee, the SUMO guy.
