Following a successful tender win, Happy Creative has been appointed by Blackpool Council to deliver marketing, branding and events to help bolster economic development and promote sustainability initiatives in line with the government's Levelling Up initiative.
The appointment is one of a number of awards funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) and the government's commitment of levelling up. It is led by the Blackpool Council's Business Growth Team.
Happy Creative will work alongside the Business Growth Team to provide marketing, branding and events support for the launch of two new business academies: the Blackpool Growth Business Academy and the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy.
The Blackpool Growth Business Academy aims to empower new and expanding businesses in the resort to drive economic growth and prosperity. Through tailored support, workshops, and coaching, the academy will provide entrepreneurs and business owners with the knowledge and tools to grow profitably.
The Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy will focus on promoting sustainability initiatives to local businesses, with the goal of fostering a greener economy. By providing guidance and strategies for reducing carbon footprints and adopting eco-friendly practices, the academy aims to position Blackpool as a leader in sustainable business practices.
Happy Creative will play a pivotal role in these initiatives and will work alongside the Small Business Academy and Adler & Allan who will deliver the Blackpool Growth Business Academy and the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy respectively.
Over the course of the 18-month contract, the Happy team will be raising awareness, creating interest and demand, and educating Blackpool businesses about the support available. This will be done through developing comprehensive marketing plans, creating visual identities and brand assets, providing content refreshes for the website, curating engaging content, providing social media support, managing news and public relations, and producing captivating videos.
Happy Creative will also be responsible for planning and organising a series of events throughout the town. These events, designed for business leaders, will cover a wide range of topics relevant to the local business landscape. By facilitating networking opportunities and knowledge sharing, the events aim to foster collaboration, innovation, and growth within the Blackpool business community.
Speaking about the tender win, Chief Happy Karen Lambert said: "We first partnered with Blackpool Unlimited in 2013, and are absolutely thrilled to be awarded this contract and have the opportunity to work alongside the Business Growth Team at this pivotal time. It's a great honour to be involved in the launch of both these Academies, which we believe will be truly transformational in driving economic development within the town."
