A fast-growing energy specialist has almost doubled its office space after a massive spike in turnover and orders.
Managing director Frazer Durris said the new facility has been inspired by the BBC’s offices at MediaCity and includes break-out areas for staff; hot-desking for clients; stand-up meeting areas; flat screen TVs with rolling news; and a networking area.
“I regularly go to meetings in Manchester where the offices are designed to encourage creative thinking and agile working. When I saw the BBC’s office at MediaCity and the ‘break-out areas’ for staff meetings I decided to replicate that for Businesswise Solutions.”
The company boasts a range of blue chip clients including DFS, Daisy and Burnley Football Club and is currently working with high profile property portfolio clients across Manchester and the wider North West who are key to the success of the Northern Powerhouse.
“An exclusive group purchasing deal with a leading supplier is really helping to raise our profile and, with such high calibre businesses coming through the door, it is vital that our offices are technologically equipped for us to bring in clients and demonstrate what we do.
“A modern office is a really important tool in helping to attract and retain staff because there’s a massive recruitment challenge in East Lancashire and the wider North West and I think that’s only going to get worse. “By implementing these changes, we believe we can gain interest from the right calibre of candidates and harness their talents right here.”
