eBusiness UK is helping Derbyshire-based car parts specialist Auto Reserve Jaguar to continue its year-on-year growth by delivering a new ecommerce website capable of scaling up to meet its expanding ambitions.
The family-owned business started life as a part-time hobby which traded through eBay and is now a flourishing company which has commissioned a new website and is currently searching for bigger premises so that it can offer a wider range of stock.
Andrew Harper began by sourcing parts for his own vehicle, before taking the idea online and finding like-minded customers. Now the company employs ten, including Andrew’s wife, brother and sister.
Auto Reserve Jaguar stands out in its field for sourcing parts only from test-driven, road-worthy vehicles less than 25 years old. Not only does this ensure that parts are in good condition, it allows the company to recycle much more of a vehicle than rival breakers.
As sales have continued to grow, so has the range of parts in stock on offer, and this made the current website difficult to update and harder for customers to browse. In addition, the site was built on outdated technology, which currently excludes it from some of the latest add-ons and functions.
Following a recommendation from the previous developers and after researching other web development companies, Auto Reserve Jaguar selected Blackburn-based eBusiness UK – also a family-run business – to build the new website.
eBusiness UK has been building sites for more than 20 years and has helped a wide range of organisations throughout their full journey, from selling online for the first time through to upgrading popular sites to breaking into international markets.
Latif Kothia, director of eBusiness UK, said: “Auto Reserve Jaguar is a great example of a business which has succeeded by finding a niche and excelling at it. The business has grown quickly over the years and is facing an exciting time – upgrading the website and moving to new premises.
“The work we will do will improve the customer experience, help the Auto Reserve Jaguar team to keep it up-to-date, improve its search engine friendliness and it will keep it protected with the highest level of available security.”
