About us
Go Velo offers Bikeability, adult cycle training, cycle instructor training and inclusive Special Educational Needs sessions.
Our popular support package helps businesses encourage more cycling to work, by adult training, route planning, cycle storage, try-a-bike events, Dr Bike and bike maintenance sessions - all geared up to get you cycling.
What we’ve achieved
We encourage cycling and train 10,000 people per year.
Cycling has a carbon footprint of about 21g of CO2 per kilometer travelled. That’s less than walking or getting the bus and less than a tenth the emissions of driving.
If cycling’s popularity in Britain increases six-fold (back to 1940s levels) and all the pedalling replaced driving, this could make a net reduction of 7.7million tons of CO2 annually.
The rewards
As well as being good for the environment, there are many business benefits to encouraging your team to cycle to work.
Cycling will decrease your business’ mobility costs, reduce car parking headaches, reduce employee absence and increase productivity.
