Local people looking to develop their interview and presentation skills are being invited to book onto a free workshop taking place at the Hyndburn Jobs Fair on Thursday 20th March.
The Jobs Fair will take place between 9am and 3pm in Accrington Town Hall, with the ‘Interview Preparation and Presentation Skills Workshop’ running from 10am to 12pm.
Delivered by experienced coach and public speaking expert, Liz Boswell, the workshop is designed to give those attending, the confidence and tools to shine during their interviews and presentations.
The topics which will be covered during the two-hour workshop include making a winning first impression, how to answer interview questions with ease, delivering presentations with impact and how to boost your confidence through practice.
Between 1pm and 3pm, Hyndburn Borough Council will also be running a ‘Working from Home’ workshop delivered by Kat Rutter from ‘The Work From Home Hub’, which will explore how to find and apply for work from home roles, as well as providing tips and tricks to enhance applications, plus much more. Very limited places are remaining for this workshop.

For those not taking part in the workshops, there will be a fantastic range of opportunities to meet regional and local businesses at the Jobs Fair.
With an emphasis on promoting live job vacancies, the event is open to all ages, for anyone looking for employment, career advice or are thinking about starting an Apprenticeship.
Those visiting will get to speak to organisations such as the Army, Police, Network Rail, EE, WEC Group, iMEP International Music Event Production, Clayton Park Bakery, NLTG, Senator, brsk and many more.
To allow those wanting to attend on their lunch break, the event will run continuously between 9am and 3pm, and for those that are unable to attend, a follow up list of the live job vacancies and employers will be available to view online.
There will also be a special appearance at the event from Emma Rothwell, a proud Accringtonian who set up a thriving online business and featured on this year’s BBC The Apprentice.
