Galloways is excited to host a fundraising event to challenge the brave and support local people with sight loss.
Set for Wednesday, June 12, 2024 in the grounds of our head office at Howick House, Penwortham, this event will see those brave enough, walk over hot coals in a test of courage and commitment.
Participation will test your limits and raise essential funds to enable the charity to continue delivering vital services, expand our reach and enhance daily life for local people with visual impairments.
The Firewalk, hosted by the nationally renowned UK Firewalk, starts with registration from 6:30 PM.
Before the walk, all participants will undergo a safety briefing by the organisers to ensure everyone is well-prepared and informed. Safety gear and first aid will be available on-site for added reassurance. After completing the firewalk, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion to commemorate their bravery and contribution.
Income Generation Manager, Sharon Plunkett said, "We are very excited to invite you to join our first-ever firewalk – it is more than a challenge; it's a chance to impact our community and significantly support local people living with sight loss. We invite everyone to join us in this daring event to raise awareness and help us raise funds.”
