A specialist business advisory firm with offices in Preston has bolstered its North West team with a senior appointment as it looks to grow in Lancashire.
Simon Raine has been appointed director at FRP Advisory. An established banker with 35 years’ experience in the sector, he joins the business from Handelsbanken.
During his 17 years with the Swedish bank he was responsible for developing the Bank’s corporate and private banking business across the North West and Scotland.
In his new role, Simon will work closely with FRP Advisory’s corporate finance, debt advisory and restructuring teams as they continue to support businesses across the region.
He will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities across Lancashire including helping business owners and management teams to implement their growth plans.
FRP says the appointment follows “a significant period of growth for the firm in the North West”, with an increased headcount across all service lines over the last 12 months. The firm has an office in Winckley Square in Preston.
Ben Woolrych, partner at FRP Advisory, said: “Simon’s wealth of experience, his knowledge of the local market and the strength of his relationships with the regional business community mean he is the perfect candidate to help us implement our growth plans.
“Our firm has gained real momentum in the North West over recent years, and we’re looking forward to Simon joining us on the next stage of our growth journey.”
In addition to his new role at FRP Advisory, Simon is also a non-executive director at The Jockey Club at Haydock Park and a board advisor at BBS Law and Bridge Insurance Brokers.
