Freshfield strengthens digital offering

Preston-based marketing communications consultancy Freshfield has strengthened its digital marketing capability with the appointment of Steve Baker.

Steve joins Freshfield as digital development consultant following six years at Piranha Internet; a full service internet, website design, search engine optimisation and digital marketing agency.

Steve has previously worked on a diverse range of digital development projects and brings more than 13 years’ experience, with clients ranging from charities to healthcare associations and advanced engineering companies.

Steve forms part of Freshfield’s branding, design and digital team and is the second digital development consultant to join the team this year.

Freshfield managing director Simon Turner said: “Digital marketing is now an integral part of our offering and we want to be able to provide our clients with the best digital knowledge and skillset to work in tandem with our other services such as PR, design and social media.

“With Steve’s substantial experience in digital development across a variety of sectors, he will be a great asset to the team and there are certainly plenty of projects for him to get his teeth into.”

Steve added: “I’m joining Freshfield at an exciting period of growth for the company. Digital marketing is much more effective when blended with other marketing disciplines and I’m looking forward to getting involved in some integrated campaigns.” Based in Winckley Square, Preston, Freshfield is Lancashire’s only member of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) and employs 15 people.
