Brian House Children’s Hospice in Blackpool has received £30,000 from long-term supporter The Kentown Wizard Foundation.
Kentown Wizard, also of Blackpool, has pledged support for fundraising events across the 2021-22 calendar, including the Night Run in September and Santa Dash in December.
Together with two new family fun events, the fundraisers are expected to bring in £163,000. The money will be used to provide respite, palliative and end-of-life care to children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across the Fylde coast.
Head of Fundraising, Linzi Warburton, said: "Once again, we are blown away by the support of our friends at the Kentown Wizard Foundation.
"It means so much to us that they have confidence in us to use their generosity to put on exciting family events, transforming their support into much-needed vital funds so that we can be there for the Fylde coast’s most fragile children and their families."
The Kentown Wizard Foundation is the charity of Fylde coast philanthropist Ken Townsley, and supports charities which help disabled youngster and children with life limiting conditions.
Margaret Ingram, CEO of The Kentown Wizard Foundation said: "We are delighted to be able to sponsor Brian House events again. Not only do these events raise awareness of our local children’s hospice, they raise vital funds towards the incredible work they do."
