Pauline Clare CBE, former chief constable of Lancashire Constabulary, has been appointed chair of the board of trustees at the Mawdesley-based charity, Rainbow House.
Her skill in leading change management will strengthen the Board as the charity looks to develop its services following the opening of the new purpose built facility, the Rainbow House Hub, which was launched last month.
Also joining the board are Kevin Abbott and Lynne D’Arcy.
At the launch of the new purpose built facility, the Rainbow House Hub, last month, he said: “When you come to a facility like this and see all the needs the children have, it would be difficult not to want to help and so, when Mr Hemmings asked me to get involved, I was only too pleased to say yes.”
Lynne said: “Working with Rainbow House to achieve its goals is a great honour and I am confident that, by working together, we can make a difference to the children and families that the charity supports.” Carole Cochrane CBE, chief executive of Rainbow House, welcomed the new additions to the board, saying: “I feel that they have the right skills to complement the current Trustees and will be a great help in moving the services of Rainbow House forward.”
