Forbes Solicitors has announced the appointment of five new partners and three new associates as part of its continued growth.
The largest legal practice in the North West outside the major cities, has offices in Blackburn (three), Accrington, Preston, Chorley, Manchester and Leeds.
It has also confirmed that Nick Pickup, John Pickervance and Nigel McCloy have been promoted from Solicitors to Associates.

He specialises in business disputes and has particular expertise in those involving commercial contracts, shareholders, partnerships, share sales and warranties, banking issues, restrictive covenants and professional negligence.
Ruth Rule-Mullen has extensive experience in employment and HR matters with a specialism in the education sector, representing schools, academies and FE providers.
Shirley Faragher acts on behalf of registered providers of social housing advising on tenancy management with a focus on anti-social behaviour. Shirley is a specialist trial advocate dealing with all aspects of Housing Litigation up to and including hearings in the High Court.
John Pickervance joined Forbes in 2011 as a trainee solicitor and qualified into the corporate and restructuring department in 2013. John specialises in advising on, drafting and negotiating contracts governing provision of both goods and services; international trade; commercial agency and distribution; manufacturing; consultancy and charities. Nigel McCloy is a higher court advocate in the insurance department. After gaining experience with two North East law firms he joined Forbes in 2009 before qualifying in 2012. He has experience of defending public, occupiers' and employers' liability claims ranging from slip and trip accidents to coroner's inquests.
