Blackburn-based Stevens Traceability Systems, experts in traceability software and weighing equipment for food manufacturers, has appointed a new product manager for software.
Jay Meadows has been promoted from his previous role as a project manager to product manager for software.
After joining Stevens two years ago, Jay has been involved in implementing and configuring Stevens Traceability Systems for customers across the UK. One of his recent projects included identifying the traceability and production needs of a leading UK bakery and project managing the configurations and installation of a Stevens traceability system into their new gluten-free site.
Manchester-born Jay previously worked in IT at Lloyds bank in the city and has continued his career in IT over the last 15 years. His new role as product manager for software will involve developing the popular traceability software which Stevens has been providing to manufacturers for over 15 years, and future proofing it for the evolving needs of manufacturers.
“I am delighted to be taking on this new role at Stevens. I’ve been hands-on with our software from day one, and my experience working with customers has given me a great insight into what’s needed on the shop floor and from management teams in the food manufacturing industry” said Jay Meadows.
Mike Wynburg, managing director, added: “I’m extremely pleased about the appointment of Jay Meadows as our new product manager for software. Jay has been central to many customer projects and his knowledge of the Stevens software is second to none. I’m confident that Jay will take our software offering to a new level.”
