Beever and Struthers, Brabners and Lancashire Business View are hosting an event next month about 'Employee Owned Trusts'.
The 1,650+ Employee Owned (EO) sector is growing – 37 per cent growth was reported last year.
Since the introduction of the EOT in 2014, employee ownership has grown by 90 per cent. It has seen the sector transform from mainly large businesses to a thriving, diverse sector made up of mainly SMEs.
Although the spread of employee ownership varies region to region, the top five sectors where people powered businesses is consistently trending are:
1. Professional Services (39 per cent)
2. Manufacturing (13 per cent)
3. Construction (12.5 per cent)
4. Wholesale and Retail Trade (11.6 per cent)
5. Information and communications (8 per cent)

On Tuesday 4 March, Beever and Struthers is hosting a panel discussion with guest speaker Lesley Robinson, membership community manager from The Employee Ownership Association, Richard Slater, chair at Lancashire Business View and legal advisors Brabners.
