Burnley-based Financial Affairs has successfully completed its fourth acquisition, by bringing Owen & Ewing Insurance Brokers into the group.
Owen & Ewing, founded in 1973 and based in Oswaldtwistle, have established themselves as key players in the insurance broking industry, offering specialist advice for commercial and business insurance as well as offering personal insurances for home, motor and travel.
It marks the fourth acquisition for the Financial Affairs group, further expanding its portfolio and its offerings making the group one of the North West’s leading independent insurance brokers.
The deal, which was finalised in July 2024, will allow Owen & Ewing to leverage the resources and expertise of a larger organisation, continuing to operate under the current established brand, ensuring their clients get the same trusted service they’re used to whilst benefiting from the resources of a larger, independent business.
Laurence O’Connor, chief executive of Financial Affairs, said: “We are delighted to welcome Owen & Ewing into the Financial Affairs family.
"At Financial Affairs, we place a high value on traditional, family-run businesses, and it’s wonderful to see that Owen & Ewing share our aligned values and a strong company culture.”
Max Robinson, Leah Towers & Linda Davies, directors of Owen & Ewing, said: "Becoming part of the Financial Affairs Group is a significant and exciting step forward for us at
Owen & Ewing.
"We’re proud and excited to bring our company into such a dynamic, values-driven organisation that shares our dedication to exceptional client service and strong
community ties.”
The latest acquisition strengthens Financial Affairs' position in the insurance sector and builds on its ability to provide clients with comprehensive and tailored solutions, whilst maintaining the local and personalised service that Owen & Ewing are so well known for.
