This year, we’re excited to celebrate 50 years of being in business! As well as throwing a big party to mark the occasion, on 7th May our team will be heading out in their hiking boots to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
For the challenge, we’ll be walking 24.5 miles in just 12 hours, climbing a total of 2,153m, all in an effort to raise money for Pendleside Hospice and Manchester Children’s Hospital.
“We celebrate SBS’s 50th birthday this year, and we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion, whilst also taking the opportunity to give something back,” says SBS commercial director, Liam Mulready. “The charities we have selected are both very close to our hearts, so we look forward to raising as much money as possible for them.”
Pendleside Hospice provides specialist and holistic palliative care to enhance the quality of life for people living with life-limiting illnesses, and Manchester Children’s Hospital functions as the largest children’s hospital in the UK, supporting families from prenatal care through birth and beyond. Both are very worthy causes in need of our support. This event is a way to spread the word about the important work they each do, and help to raise vital funds.
