Fat Media are thrilled to announce that their work for Cumbrian tour company Maximum Adventure has been shortlisted in the Northern Digital Awards 2021!
In the face of the pandemic that has hit the travel industry so severely, Fat Media are delighted to be working with this progressive adventure brand. Having completed a full site redesign and development for them this year, Fat Media have been recognised in the Best Ecommerce Website category.
Their new site includes a host of customised WooCommerce functionality, with a particular highlight being the checkout process. Adventurers are able to fill in a number of details in advance, such as dietary requirements and fitness level, and also add optional extras to their trip, all as part of the checkout.
Meanwhile, deposit rules mean the payment schedule also changes according to how far in advance they have booked their trip. It makes for a smooth user experience for the customer, but also for the Maximum Adventure team, who are now able to gather much more information at the point of sale, and record it more easily than their previous site allowed.
