Blackburn-based Farleys Solicitors has acquired Mulderrigs Solicitors of Rawtenstall.
Mulderrigs, which has operated in Rossendale for more than two decades, specialises in serious injury and professional negligence claims.
Following the acquisition Mulderrigs will continue as a trading name of Farleys, and all employees will remain with the company.
The deal adds to Farleys' existing expertise and also brings a wider full-service legal offering to Rawtenstall and the wider Rossendale borough.
It also takes Farleys to seven offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and broadens the firm’s existing presence and office footprint in Lancashire.
This is the first acquisition for Farleys since becoming the second firm to join the Lawfront group in October of last year.
Ian Liddle, managing partner at Farleys, said: "This is a great opportunity for Farleys and will unlock many opportunities as we look to build upon the existing well-known brand and quality service that is already associated with the Mulderrigs name in the local community.
"We are continuing to invest in a number of key appointments and service areas which is indicative of our plan to increase presence across the region and grow our firm."
Paul Mulderrig, director at Mulderrigs, added: "With access to a wider range of services and resources and the well-recognised brand of Farleys, we look forward to growing our own professional family here in Rawtenstall to continue looking after our clients and their families, and the wider business community across Rossendale.”
