Global engineering and technology firm Expleo is planning to create 120 jobs at its UK headquarters in Bamber Bridge.
The move is part of a wider drive to create 500 engineering jobs across the UK - where it also has operations in Derby, Belfast and Bristol - over the next 12 months.
The roles will range from mechanical design to software engineering and scrum masters to marine engineers. In 2019, the company launched its marine division and based the team at its Bamber Bridge site, growing from a handful of employees to more than 300 today, with plans to add to the team in 2022.
Expleo was founded in 2016 when Assystem Technologies acquired Software Quality Systems AG (SQS). Growing rapidly, it now works with clients across 14 industries including aerospace, marine and automotive to deliver engineering and quality assurance services.
Jeff Hoyle, EVP global aero, space and defence and managing director of Expleo, UK, said: "We’re committed to investing in regional talent and continuing the proud tradition of engineering excellence in the Preston area. This next phase in our growth will see us create 500 roles this year, as we match high calibre talent to client demand for our services.
"Expleo is a dynamic place to be right now, with great opportunities for engineers who want to build skills across industries and clients. An engineer may start with us on a commercial aerospace programme, but their next project could be in marine, it is very diverse.”
