Here at Fagan & Whalley, we remain committed to delivering the best possible level of service. As a result, a focus on development and innovation forms a core part of our ethos, and we make every effort to regularly and continually review our operations, making improvements where necessary to ensure our business is always running as efficiently as possible.
Following a recent review of our site operations at Burnley Bridge and our new warehousing depot at Frontier Park, we’ve invested in two new Terberg terminal tractors, which promise to boost performance by making our processes safer and more efficient.
“The two new Terbergs are specialist shunt units which we’ve brought in to replace the Scania tractor units previously in use in our yards,” says F&W Operations Strategy Director, Daniel Wood. “These units have been designed specifically for shunting and offer greater all-round visibility for the operator, which will not only help to boost site safety, but also allow for a faster exchange of trailers around the site.
“We’ve incorporated one unit into the operations at Burnley Bridge, and one into our new warehousing depot at Frontier Park. Each will have their own dedicated operatives who will be required to undertake specialist training with our in-house training team.
“At Fagan & Whalley, we like to think of ourselves as a team and a company which values its rich heritage, whilst always facing forward and thinking ahead. The acquisition of these two new shunt units is just one of the ways we can demonstrate our commitment to development, and comes as part of a recent push to see more funds invested into maximising our potential and optimising the efficiency and performance of our operations.”
