Carnforth-based wine importer EWGA Wines has secured an exciting new partnership, becoming the exclusive UK distributor for Champagne Vollereaux.
Starting this monthy, EWGA will distribute the esteemed Champagne across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands, marking a significant milestone for this local business.
The collaboration between EWGA Wines and Champagne Vollereaux comes after a natural alignment of values and vision. Both companies share a deep-rooted commitment to quality, tradition, and authenticity. The two family-run businesses agreed a deal and Champagne Vollereaux will now be introduced to the UK market through EWGA’s distribution network.
Speaking about the partnership, Julien Breuzon, export director of Champagne Vollereaux, said: "Franck Vollereaux and I are delighted to partner with EWGA Wines for the distribution of Champagne Vollereaux in the UK. Our common values based on family history and professionalism will be key to the success of Champagne Vollereaux in this market."
This is an exciting development for the UK’s wine and champagne market, and a real coup for EWGA Wines, which is headquartered right here in Lancashire.
Champagne Vollereaux's history stretches back to 1805 when the Vollereaux family began cultivating grapes in the villages of Pierry and Moussy. Over the generations, the family built up their Champagne house with a philosophy of making Champagne accessible for everyday enjoyment, not just special occasions. Today, the house is run by the sixth generation of the family, with winemaker Franck Vollereaux at the helm, who continues the tradition while adding his own modern flair.
With 40 hectares of vineyards and an award-winning production process, Champagne Vollereaux is renowned for its “casual chic” style—elegant yet approachable. In 2023, the house was crowned House of the Year at the prestigious Trophées Champenois awards, a fitting tribute to the centenary of their first bottling in 1923.
EWGA Wines will be bringing a carefully selected range of Vollereaux Champagnes to the UK, including everything from their signature Brut Réserve to vintage offerings. The range includes both classic blends of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, as well as more unique styles like their Rosé de Saignée and Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature. This diverse selection promises something for every palate, whether it’s a celebratory toast or an elegant pairing with a fine meal.
