Euro Garages, the Blackburn-based independent forecourt retailer, is to acquire 48 Esso sites in the Midlands and east of England in the latest agreement to increase its UK presence.
the purchase of 45 Esso sitesThe 48 new sites, which will continue to supply Esso-branded fuels, will be bolstered convenience stores and partnerships with Greggs, Subway, Starbucks and Burger King.
Euro Garages managing director Mohsin Issa said: “The Esso sites we acquired last year as part of the North of England and North Wales package have performed extremely well, with customers benefiting from our global brand partnerships while still being able to fill up their vehicles with quality Esso fuels.
Euro Garages chief executive Zuber Issa added: “We are looking forward to a busy 2014, integrating the new Esso sites alongside acquiring and developing new-to-industry sites. We will be looking at further acquisitions and establishing strategic alliances to grow our UK presence.” The latest deal, due to complete in the second quarter of 2014, will mean Euro Garages employs more than 3,000 people across the UK.
