North West law firm Harrison Drury has appointed a wills and estate administration specialist to support its clients in the Fylde region.
Chartered legal executive, Donna Matthews, joins Harrison Drury from Vincents Solicitors based in Lytham. Her appointment brings Harrison Drury’s private client team to 19, with four of the team’s specialist advisers and two support staff based at its Lytham office.
Having qualified in 2006, Donna has been providing specialist legal services for over 15 years. She is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Donna will provide Harrison Drury clients with specialist advice in drafting wills, estate planning, trusts and probate work. She will also assist clients in preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney and enduring powers of attorney as well as in the administration of estates and dealing with the management of elderly clients’ general affairs.
Commenting on Donna’s appointment, Clare Fleming, partner and head of the private client team at Harrison Drury, said: “Donna has been providing specialist legal services for over 10 years in the Lytham area and has extensive experience in private client matters.
“She is very dedicated to her work and shows great compassion to clients. We are delighted that she has chosen to join our growing team in Lytham and to progress her career at Harrison Drury.”
Originally from Blackpool, and now living in Poulton-le-Fylde, Donna has lived and worked in the Fylde area all her life. She gained a foothold into her career completing her first level to qualification through Blackpool and The Fylde College and continued her studies online to gain her STEP qualification in 2021. With the support of Harrison Drury, she now aspires to gain a Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) qualification to further develop her private client specialisms.
Talking about joining Harrison Drury, Donna added: “I have always admired the reputation Harrison Drury has with both its clients and across the regional professional community. When the firm announced the opening of an office in Lytham, having lived and worked in the area all my life, I was delighted to take the opportunity to become part of its team and continue to support families and individuals in my local area.
“I love my work, it is a great service to support people, sometimes during very difficult and challenging times, be it preparing wills to meet a person’s final wishes or supporting bereaved families who must deal with the administration of a deceased estate. I look forward to helping to develop Harrison Drury’s professional reputation across the Fylde and being part of its highly regarded team.”
