The civil engineering division of Bamber Bridge-based Eric Wright has been appointed to the £8bn Procure Partnerships National Contractors Framework for Infrastructure.
The company has been awarded a place in both the North East and Yorkshire for Lot 1 (£1m to £5m) and Lot 2 (£5m to £15m).
The second iteration of the Procure Partnerships (National Contractor) Framework covers five disciplines: construction, infrastructure, decarbonisation & retrofit, site clearance & demolition, and housing. Each category is subdivided into 11 regions. The total value is put at £8bn.
The contracting authority for the framework is Alder Hey Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Robbie Blackhurst, framework director, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Eric Wright Civil Engineering to our second iteration of the Procure Partnership Framework. Their knowledge and expertise will be an invaluable asset to the Framework, and we look forward to working with them over the next four years.
“With over £1bn projects delivered across the UK year on year, our national presence – as well as our extensive experience in both procurement and technical project delivery – means we can always move quickly to meet the needs of our clients.
Diane Bourne, managing director at Eric Wright Civil Engineering, said: “Being appointed to the Procure Partnerships National Contractors Framework for Infrastructure will give us another opportunity to build on the successful work that our company has delivered in the public sector across these two regions.
"In the North East, last year we successfully completed the construction of North Allerton Bridge, whilst in Yorkshire our team has recently delivered the new public realm to Bradford and completed remediation works for Bradford Council. We look forward to working on new projects over the coming years.”
