Entries are now open for Cowgills North West Homebuilder Awards which will celebrate and support the region’s SME housebuilders and developers.
The Homebuilder Awards will recognise the work of small to medium sized homebuilders and contractors in meeting the country’s growing need for new homes. Categories include awards for large and small developments, residential contractor, small housing scheme, conversion, senior living, inclusivity, conversions, community impact, sustainability and placemaking.
All categories are open exclusively for entry by SMEs with the awards focusing on the work being completed by homebuilders and developers in the North West. The awards event will take place on 9th June at Manchester’s Albert Hall and will be an informal, fun evening which will also raise money for the NSPCC. The closing date for submissions is 25th March via the Homebuilder Awards website - https://www.northwesthomebuilderawards.co.uk
The event is backed by a range of businesses including headline sponsor Paragon and category sponsorships by Savills, Bermans, LDS, PMJ Capital, Oppidan, Collaborate Living and Buttress. Other sponsors include Loft and Domis. Media partner is Place North West.
Commenting on the inaugural awards Cowgills partner Stuart Stead said: “The North West is home to many successful housebuilders, from small, owner-managed businesses creating individual family homes to larger SME developers bringing forward apartment schemes in the city centres. We work closely with many of them, advising their businesses and securing funding, and we know how many talented people there are in this sector which has gone largely unrecognised until now. We hope the awards will redress that balance and have been overwhelmed by the response so far with most of the seats selling out in the first week.”
Stuart, who is an ambassador for the NSPCC, is also hoping that the not-for-profit event will raise a significant amount for the charity in the region.
The judging panel will visit each of the shortlisted entries and comprises some of the region’s most experienced property professionals including: Stuart Stead, Cowgills; Alex Maxwell, Savills; Emma Richman, Peaks and Plains; Gavin Sorby, Buttress; Stephen Chalcraft, Bermans; Berit Rose, Anwyl Homes and Dave Rowlinson, Paragon.
The event will be hosted by Jenny Powell, best known for hosting some of British TV’s most iconic programmes including, Top of the Pops and Wheel of Fortune, and music will be provided by legendary Haçienda DJ, Graeme Park.
The evening will be different to the traditional black tie and dinner format, taking a more casual and exciting approach. For further details contact [email protected].
