EG On The Move have successfully completed the acquisition of the Applegreen UK network comprising nearly 98 sites along with around 40 foodservice concessions.
Following completion, EG On The Move will own and operate a total of around 151 petrol forecourt station locations nationally and a further 209 foodservice concessions along with around 40 locations offering customers access to more than 200 fast EV charging ports.
1,142 staff members working at the 98 sites are expected to transfer to EG On The Move as part of the transaction. On completion, our EG OTM family will grow to over 4,500 colleagues.
EG On The Move have also acquired the Applegreen fuel card business and this will further enable the business to strengthens its position in providing tailored fuel solutions to commercial and fleet customers whilst leveraging the synergies of its existing network as well.

It comes after the Lancashire Business View reported in June last year that Zuber acquired the forecourt division of Blackburn headquartered EG Group, the company he co-founded with Mohsin in 2021, in a £228m deal – It has now been renamed EG On the Move (EGOTM).
Zuber also left his role on the board of Asda after completing the sale of his shares in the supermarket giant to private equity group TDR Capital in November.
