Rapidly-growing logistics firm EFS Global has made two further acquisitions, completing deals for sister companies Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd.
The companies, based in Maidstone in Kent, provide pallet network, general haulage and warehousing and fulfilment services. The fulfilment aspect was of particular interest to the buyers and adds to their service offering.
The deal, of an undisclosed sum, follows the acquisitions of Tom Moorhouse & Son (Huddersfield), Andante Freight (Bradford) and Pegasus Express (Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Dundee & Preston), all completed in 2022.
Burnley-based EFS Global now operates more than 30 sites around the UK, with group turnover of £165m.
Mark Jones, managing director of EFS Global, said: "We are delighted to welcome Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd into the EFS Group and this deal is another step in our ongoing and ambitious growth strategy."
Law firm Davis Blank Furniss acted for EFS Global. The team was led by Sonio Singh, partner and head of the corporate department. He was supported Lauren Sever, associate corporate, commercial and employment solicitor.
Sonio Singh added: “Once again we were pleased to advise the EFS Global team securing another major strategic acquisition which will further bolster the company’s geographical reach across the UK.”
