Blackburn-based digital marketing specialist eBusiness UK has further strengthened its relationship with Lancashire food and drink operator Heathcote & Co by winning the contract to deliver a third new website.
The two organisations first worked together in 2021 when chef Paul Heathcote approached the company about building a website for his latest venture, an events space in Preston named 23 Winckley.
Paul was so impressed by eBusiness UK that he commissioned the team to build another website just a few months later when he launched his outside events offer.
And now eBusiness UK was his first choice to deliver the new website for Escapade Bars, a business recently acquired by Heathcote & Co.
Escapade specialises in bar and drinks services for high-end events, providing consultancy, staff, stock and mixology expertise.
Paul explained: “We had worked together on various events over the years, where they provided the drink and we provided the food. I had always been very impressed with them and after talking, I realised that they sometimes missed out on contracts because they didn’t offer food in the same way that we sometimes missed out on bookings because we didn’t offer a bar facility.
“So to bring the two services together as a single supplier made perfect sense and the timing was ideal for us to acquire their business.”
While the founder of Escapade Bars exits the company to pursue other ventures, Heathcote & Co has retained Kane Mason and Alex Leigh who have been promoted and become directors.
Paul added: “I’m excited to be working alongside these two young, ambitious individuals. They bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the business and in turn we offer decades of industry experience.
“It’s a great match and I’m looking forward to exploring new opportunities together.”
Latif Kothia, director of eBusiness UK, said: “Paul is a highly experienced entrepreneur who is known throughout the UK and beyond for the quality of his food. We’re proud to remain his number one choice to develop websites for his various ventures.
“The particular challenge in this instance was working quickly to take the new site live. We knew that news of the business acquisition would become public and wanted a strong web presence ready for the interest it would generate.
“Fortunately we are already familiar with the Heathcote & Co brand and Paul is an ideal client so we were able to deliver the new site on time.”
Latif added: “It’s another example of two Lancashire businesses working closely together to build a fruitful, mutually beneficial relationship.”
