Chorley-based branded baked goods specialist Eat My Logo has taken inspiration from Willy Wonka and created its own chocolate factory.
The new state-of-the-art chocolate production room is the result of months of planning and development.
Fitted with cutting-edge machinery, the new facility will allow the business to make its signature chocolates entirely in-house.
It says the move will make it more efficient, in order to meet tight deadlines and accommodate last-minute requests. And it also allows for stricter quality control, significantly reducing the likelihood of errors.
Director Ruth Poar said: “We're eager to start producing our chocolate in-house and are excited about the possibilities this brings for new products and future innovations.”
It follows the company’s recent acquisition of ‘Cocoapod’ – a leading chocolate brand that marked a significant step in its expansion into the B2C market.
The strategic move enables Eat My Logo to not only manufacture but also produce its own exclusive line of premium chocolate boxes, enhancing product offerings and strengthening its presence in the consumer market.
Founded 10 years ago by husband-and-wife team Andrew and Ruth Poar, Eat My Logo began as a side project to Ruth’s high street celebration cake business.
The company has since grown rapidly, now operating out of a 10,000-square-foot facility in Chorley with a team of 20 specialists.
Each week, Eat My Logo produces, packs, and ships tens of thousands of edible branded cakes, biscuits and confectionery to hundreds of businesses across the UK, with orders ranging from a few units to hundreds of thousands.
