Budget hotel chain easyHotel has purchased a 999-year lease for a site on Blackpool's promenade.The company plans to build a 103-room hotel which will open during its 2020/2021 financial year.
The site, 500 metres from Blackpool South railway station, will also include space for restaurants or cafes on the ground floor.
Total purchase and construction costs will be £7.6m.Guy Parsons, the company's CEO, said: “Blackpool is a prosperous and lively city, and hugely popular with UK and international visitors.
“Once open, easyHotel will make a major contribution to the local hospitality trade.” There are 32 easyHotels in 24 UK towns and cities, and this will be its first in the resort.' fill='%23cc0935'/%3E%3C/svg%3E){kind=small}
