A trio of hard working staff at Denwa will be on top of the world when they visit Dubai this spring in reward for their commitment to the growth of the company.
A trip to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, will form part of a packed itinerary for the staff during their all-expenses trip to one of the fastest growing cities in the world.Denwa financial controller Lisa Murgatroyd, who will be joining Anna Winton, finance assistant; Gavin Potts, senior engineer and Tom Bradley, key account manager on the five day trip to the UAE, made the announcement of the trip winners during a staff awards ceremony.
“As a company we grew our team by 50% in 2014 and also recorded a 50% increase in profits so Dubai seemed the obvious choice as a reward for our hard working staff,” said Lisa Murgatroyd.“Dubai is a very ambitious country and we can learn a lot from how it has developed over the past 40 years.”
In addition to Anna, Tom and Gavin being announced as the winners of the Dubai trip, awards were presented to staff for everything from the employee of the year and long service, to the best haircut in Denwa’s first staff awards ceremony. The event, which was held at the Sparrowhawk in Fence, gave the senior management team the opportunity to reflect on the company’s achievements over the past year, announce growth plans for the next 12 months and celebrate staff successes. The seven winning staff were each presented with a £50 voucher for The Woodland Spa in Burnley. “With an ever increasing product portfolio and growing customer base, we felt it was important to recognise the achievements of our team, both business related and lighter hearted,” said managing director Rob Scott. “We are passionate about recruiting enthusiastic, hard working individuals and know how important it is to a successful team to celebrate these achievements."
