DT Information Governance has been awarded the contract to deliver 10 days of training to around 160 staff at a national health and social care organisation that operates sites across the UK.
The organisation specialises in mental health and wellbeing, learning disabilities and Autism, neurological and, children and education services in a combination of residential settings, specialist hospitals and within the community.
The training is bespoke, with five days of courses for Information Governance and five days of courses for the specialist role of the Caldicott Guardian. A handbook has been developed for each course with input from their team. The courses will be delivered virtually over September and October to reduce the need for staff to travel to sites around the country.
The training will help staff to ensure they are handling the data of their clients and services users correctly and in line with data protection and health legislation. It will also help them make decisions that place their clients’ best interests at the heart of the decision-making process.
