Private sector lobby group and business networking club Downtown in Business Lancashire has appointed Paula Davies as commercial development manager.
Paula previously worked in the PR and promotions team at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and more recently played a major role in corporate sales at Winter Gardens.
She is also the former station director at Radio Wave on the Fylde Coast, where she supprted the local community by arranging events such as the Local Heroes Awards and the annual on-air charity auction which raised money for the Blue Skies appeal at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
In her new role, she will help Downtown with the next phase of its growth plans which include stepping up its campaigning and policy work in the area.
Paula said: "I have had a long and successful career in Lancashire, and I am really excited about the next chapter of my journey. Downtown in Business has a track record of promoting the county, supporting its businesses, and hosting fantastic corporate events. I want to strengthen and grow our membership here and I am looking forward to creating new friendships – and maintaining old ones in my new role too.”
