Following Andrew Stephenson MP’s announcement that the number of apprentices in Pendle doubled in the past 12 months, one local training provider is helping two companies recruit new apprentices.
Apprenticeship specialists TrainingStation are on the hunt for sales, IT and business administration apprentices for Utility Renewals and LBS Global, both based in Barrowford.TrainingStation was recommended to Anne Wolfenden at LBS Global by Aims Finance who have a number of contact centre management apprentices with TrainingStation.
Anne, who is an executive director at the fast growing manufacturing and distribution company, said: “We know that apprentices have a valuable role to play in successful businesses and we are looking forward to working in partnership with TrainingStation to recruit and train a number of IT and business administration apprentices. We hope our new apprentices will develop a long term career with us and become invaluable parts in our team.”Sales apprentices who enjoy working as part of a team, are computer literate and have an outgoing personality and good telephone manner are being sought by Utility Renewals.
Ryan Haigh, director at the business energy, electricity and gas broker and telecoms supplier, said: “By working with TrainingStation to develop a bespoke training programme specifically for our apprentices, we are confident that they will quickly learn about the company and become integral parts of our growing sales team. We want to employ the best, local talent and believe apprenticeships are the best way of doing this.”TrainingStation director Lisa Whiteoak added: “Andrew Stephenson’s announcement during National Apprenticeship Week that the number of apprentices in Pendle has doubled in the past 12 months is fantastic news. 96% of employers that take on an apprentice report benefits to their business so the more local businesses that employ apprentices, the more our local economy will benefit. “LBS Global and Utility Renewals will be fantastic employers for the apprentices we recruit and we are delighted to be working with them to be providing these bespoke training programmes."
