I’m astonished at the calls we get each week from people wanting to build new websites, with little or no focus on results.
Set up your website properly and it works like an automated salesperson - why would you approach a web project any other way?
The numbers add up - a typical B2B lead generation website costs £20-50k, with a lifespan of around three years. Set up properly it generates £100,000s of additional revenue.
Set up poorly, it generates next to none.
Here are three factors that turn an ordinary website project into a very lucrative venture:
1 - A powerful pitch
There are eight elements to an effective pitch including our positioning, our authority, the problem we solve, the next steps to make an enquiry and some human and emotional elements too.
They must all come across in just a few seconds.
A partial pitch generates no leads, a complete pitch delivers plenty.
2 - Engaging lead magnets
Even the best matched prospect won’t engage unless we offer genuine value without any risk.
For example a free book, white paper or interactive tool will all engage visitors.
A good lead magnet pulls in leads on its own 24/7.
3 - Laser targeted visitors
In the 2020s we can use targeted ads that are only seen by our exact ideal customers. We can surround them with campaigns for weeks.
Why would we put a website live in the 2020s without doing this? And why would we invest in old fashioned SEO and simply hope that our ideal customer happens to find us that way?
Does your website work this way? Does it work for you like an automated salesperson?
