Friends, family and customers at a popular gastro pub in the Lune Valley raised a glass to celebrate three successful years in business.
The Fenwick in Claughton has a colourful history, and after several reinventions, was bought by the award-winning Seafood Pub Company group in May 2013. The venue underwent a huge refurbishment, and is now a popular and thriving pub, offering diners the very best dishes from both sea and land.Tom Wilkinson, general manager said: “It’s been a hugely rewarding three years since we opened, and we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion.
“We’re really lucky to have such great support in the local area; our customers, plus family and friends wanted to join in the celebrations with us."Guests were welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco and canapes were on offer throughout the evening. These included chicken pot pie pasties which were inspired by one of the Fenwick’s bestselling dishes, and chimichurri beef and halloumi skewers to name a couple. There was also a raffle to raise funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The Fenwick has recently added nine beautiful bedrooms to its offering, making the site a popular tourist destination for those travelling from further afield, and a great local attraction for both the leisure and corporate market.Tom added: “Our new bedrooms have been extremely well received and this is testament to the great journey we have had since opening.
“We have lots of new and exciting ideas for the Fenwick, and are looking forward to many more prosperous years.” The Fenwick serves food seven days a week, with a lunch club and breakfast menu available during the week, plus a dinner, bed and breakfast offer. The venue also plays host to a variety of themed events throughout the year, these include steak nights, wine vs cider evenings, and a game dinner.
