Poulton le Fylde-based Utility Collections collected £20m of debt last year on behalf of utility providers, an increase of 150 per cent over the previous 12 months.
The company, established in 2017, offers a business-to-business debt collection service for the utilities sector.
The team is made up of locally-sourced utilities employees who seek compassionate and respectful ways to resolve debt.
Gary Harrison, CEO and founder, said: "You can guarantee that a lot of the time, the debt can be down to something else, such as inaccurate meter readings, erroneous transfers, theft of supply etc.
"Our team are able to investigate potential issues to eliminate the problem and resolve the payment issue for the utility provider going forward. The customer service angle is what we pride ourselves on and as an outcome we get the results and everyone is happy."
Following the bumper year, the company unveiled its new brand which it says reflects the growth and professionalisation of the business.
