Just like in many other areas of business, the Pareto rule can often be seen across a workforce – be it that 80% of the productivity is being driven by 20% of your employees or from a management perspective, 20% of your employees that are taking up 80% of your time!
We have all had cause to be late to work at some point in our lives. On occasion, due to circumstances outside of our control, it becomes impossible to arrive on time. However, whilst most employees do their utmost to avoid lateness, there will always be one or two that frequently ‘have an excuse’ for being late. With time keeping, it does tend to be the same employees that consistently flout the rules – arriving five or ten minutes late a number of times over the course of a month.
