Oddie's is in talks to handover seven of its East Lancashire sites to a Leigh-based family bakery.
Lancashire Business View reported in January that Oddie's was closing down but now the business are looking reach a deal to keep 'certain sites' open.
They have been working with Brabners and Azets to handover seven sites to Waterfields.
A spokesman, for the deal, said: "Whilst the process is still ongoing, the deal looks to secure the future of Oddie's locations at Leeds Road in Nelson, Market Street in Colne, and in Burnley at St James Street, Coal Clough Lane, Padham Road, Brownside Road, and The Mall.
"We aim to have all stores open by early April, pending the completion of legal agreements, with St James Street in Burnley being the first scheduled to re-open on March 11, 2025."
Oddie’s was a fourth-generation family business, started in 1905 by William Henry Oddie.
