Blackburn-based charity Deaf Village has featured in reports on both the BBC and ITV in the space of one week.
The Deaf Village is a deaf-Led organisation that promotes inclusivity, with activities which address isolation, reduce social exclusion and community cohesiveness.
BBC Newsround visited the charity to report on its Christmas celebration which was tailored to meet the needs of deaf children.
The winter wonderland event included a visit from a signing Father Christmas and his signing elves, with communication facilitated through British Sign Language (BSL).
ITV News, in a separate feature, brought national attention to the Deaf Village, shining light on its essential services for both deaf and hearing communities.
Debra Cartledge, CEO at the Deaf Village said: "We are extremely grateful to the BBC and ITV for shining a spotlight on our Deaf Village, improving awareness, and promoting a community of understanding.
"Their support in highlighting the stories of resilience and empowerment within the deaf community is instrumental in making the wider community more deaf aware."
