The ‘Flight Night’ is coming to Lancashire on Thursday 26th June at Impact Conferencing in Burnley, bringing businesses together for an evening of a darts competition, networking, and fundraising.
Teams of two will go head-to-head in the renowned 301 darts competition, all in support of The Participation Works, a not-for-profit grassroots organisation serving the young people and communities of East Lancashire since 2004, and Pendleside Hospice, with a prize awaiting the winning team.
Whether you're a seasoned player or a budding Luke Littler, this is your chance to take part in a fun filled evening all for a great cause!
And while not everyone will want to step up to the oche, supporters and colleagues are encouraged to join the fun.
Guests will also enjoy a locally handcrafted pie supplied by Haffner's Bakery and a drink all included in the ticket price.
The event, sponsored by VEKA and supported by Cockers Sports is organised by participants of the Future Leaders programme, a 12-month initiative designed to challenge and develop young professionals working in Burnley.
The programme fosters personal and professional growth through monthly sessions, away days, social value projects, and one-on-one coaching in a supportive environment.
As part of their passion project, Future Leaders participants Luke Watmough (Financial Affairs), Matt Roe (Impact Conferencing), Nathan Linklater (Veka), Olivia McCaughran (Lancashire Business View), Pete Lawson (+24), and Tristan Allen (Low Carbon Energy Company) have embraced the growing darts trend to bring businesses together and make a positive impact in Burnley.
Lynne Blackburn, director of The Participation Works, shared her appreciation: “I can't thank the Future Leaders enough for choosing us as one of their beneficiaries. As a small youth organization supporting hundreds of young people each year, every contribution big or small, makes a huge difference.”
Helen McVey, chief executive at Pendleside Hospice, said, “Pendleside Hospice are extremely grateful to the Future Leaders Group for choosing Pendleside Hospice as their charity for the darts match. Pendleside rely heavily on charitable donations to fund patient care and an event like this which raises money for the hospice, ensures we are able to keep our service running and supporting the people who need our support”.
The Future Leaders are currently seeking Burnley businesses to support the event as sponsors or partners. In return, sponsors will receive marketing exposure through various channels and on the night of the event.
To enter a team of two, the cost is £100, which includes a welcome drink, a handcrafted pie, and the chance to claim the Flight Night winner's title.
