Stealing a ‘March’ on Red Nose Day proper directors, accountants and other staff entered into the spirit of ‘make a funny face for money’ appeal by transforming into Action men, fey woodland creatures, butterflies, birds, cats, tigers and other beasts – and beauties.Even the Conlon contractors, working on the final touches to the building ahead of the official hand over, muscled in on the act.
Blackpool based face painter Ruth Hage of Flair 4 Faces did the artistic honours - although the privilege of picking a design fell to others on occasions … as the pretty in pink makeover of group development director Rob Kenmare (pictured) proves.“Red faced? Not at all. It’s for a worthy cause,” said Rob.
Ruth concluded: “I never realised it was going to be such fun at an accountancy company – or that the queue would be so long. It’s been great meeting Danbro.”Danbro’s face painting exercise heads up a week of fund raising including a bake off, pyjama day, and other events ending on Red Nose Day proper on Friday March 13.
And from Red Noses to Red Roses ... the company has also been shortlisted for Employer of the Year in the LBV's own prestigious Red Rose Awards; winners to be announced on Thursday at a glittering ceremony in Blackpool.
