D & S Knowles Consulting is excited to announce the opening of its first new position: the junior connector.
This role combines aspects of community building, events, content marketing, business support, and business development, with a focus on supporting digital and tech businesses in Lancashire and the northwest region of England.
"We are thrilled to be making our first hire at D & S Knowles Consulting Limited, and can't wait to see what the junior connector will bring to our team," said Dan Knowles, managing director of the company.
"This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone to learn and grow with us, and we are confident that the right candidate will be a valuable asset to our company and the tech community in Lancashire and the northwest region."
As a people-focused role, the junior connector will be responsible for networking and building relationships with tech professionals, hosting and speaking at events, and using social media to engage with tech communities. They will also support the organization and technical aspects of events, including ticketing, promotion, and gathering feedback from attendees.
The successful candidate will be mobile, flexible, and enthusiastic about tech and the challenges facing tech businesses. They should be comfortable speaking in front of groups, networking in person and online, and reaching out to potential clients on behalf of the company.
In return, D & S Knowles Consulting is offering a salary of up to £25,000 per year, plus travel expenses and bonus opportunities, depending on experience. The role includes the option to work from home or at a local coworking space, and includes a laptop, phone, and contribution towards work-from-home costs. The junior connector will also have access to a staff pension and will receive five weeks of holiday per year.
As the company's first hire, the junior connector will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the direction and growth of D & S Knowles Consulting. As they gain experience and build their network, they will also have the opportunity to progress within the company, with the potential to become a connector (earning £26,000 to £30,000 per year) within one year and a super connector (earning £30,000 to £35,000 per year) within two years.
