One of the North West’s leading experts in cyber security will advise Lancashire businesses on ways to protect themselves from digital fraud at an international trade event next month.
Colin Howard, cyber security expert at Stonehouse Logic, will talk about the specific measures businesses can take to protect themselves when importing and exporting.
And Sophie Dembinski, from International Chamber of Commerce, will discuss the ICC’s global policy priorities and how members can get involved in shaping international trading in the future.
Mandy Lockett, international business director of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for companies to see this draft working document and give their input in regards to trading internationally, the risks, the barriers, the goals and achievements. We need internationally focused businesses to continue to grow, open up new markets and promote Lancashire and the UK.”
“Cybercrime costs British businesses millions of pounds every year so it’s important to have a strategy in place to protect yourself from such an attack, and that’s where Colin can help.
“Sophie will explain how Chamber members can get involved in shaping the future of international trade. Neil Martin, of SMUK Solutions Limited, will also share some of his experiences of trading internationally.”
