Every year in April the CUBE HR team chooses a charity to partner with for the year ahead and this year we’ve chosen Positive Action in the Community (PAC).
PAC is a local registered charity with the vision to have a community that gives the greatest opportunity for a safe, fulfilled and aspirational life, free from, homelessness, domestic abuse and poor mental health.
To achieve this they deliver a number of projects that includes; supported and safe accommodation, community based support, youth provision, counselling, and training, and personal development opportunities. All of their services provide specialist support on an individual basis to empower people to build emotional resilience, improve their health and wellbeing, make positive choices, and to have fulfilled and independent lives.
Claire Bennett, CEO of PAC said: “We absolutely delighted and honoured that Cube HR have chosen us as their Charity of the Year. Their support will make a huge difference in helping us achieve our goal to help more people in more ways this year.
"The past two years have been very difficult as we all know, and as a charity we have seen increasing demand in the most challenging of circumstances with fundraising and support unfortunately being at all-time low during the pandemic. So to now have Cube by our side to turn this around really is amazing and we are incredibly grateful for their support”.
CUBE HR will be getting involved in volunteering with PAC, fundraising for their many valued projects and helping PAC to better educate local businesses on things such as domestic violence, support for parents and mental wellbeing.
Lisa Sourbutts, MD of CUBE HR said: “Supporting Positive Action in the Community means a lot to the whole team. The work they do with young people and those who’ve experienced domestic abuse is absolutely invaluable to our community.
"It's hard to find statistics on domestic abuse as so many cases go unreported, but it's estimated that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will be affected by it. There’s a powerful message we can be giving to employers to help them support their team and we’re looking forward to working with PAC to promote this.”
