Crowberry Consulting presents Society for the Environment Awards

Crowberry Consulting presented the coveted Society for Environment Awards in London.

The annual Society for the Environment Awards took place on 4th June at the Society for Chemistry, Burlington House, London.

Crowberry Consulting is an Employer Champion and Becky Toal, the company's CEO, is a Chartered Environmentalist with the Society.

Each year two members are awarded with the Environmental Professional of the Year and Rising Star award. For 2024 an Honourary Award was presented to Martin Baxter from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.  

More than 8,000 environmental professionals meet the required standards to highlight their environmental and sustainability expertise as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech), but some warrant further recognition for going above and beyond and are commended via the SocEnv Awards.   

The Society for the Environment had a record number of entries in the 2024 SocEnv Awards which is an incredible step forward and showcases the many outstanding environmental professionals working hard to protect, preserve or enhance the environment. 

Through the award of Honorary Fellow (HonFSE), the Society for the Environment recognizes exceptional contributions made to protect and enhance our environment. 

Collectively our Honorary Fellows represent a breadth of sectors and are all eminent and respected in their own right. Together they have a powerful voice and there is a significant opportunity for influencing together on policy at the highest levels.

Martin works in the UK and internationally to support the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient and sustainable economy. He has worked in the sector for over three decades and has a wide breadth to his engagement and impact encompassing standards, government, industry, and the media. 

Becky Toal also presented the winner of Environmental Professional of the Year - Adrian Mill CEnv and Rising Star award to Abigail Hancock CEnv.
